week 3 blog assignment

Do you find yourself communicating differently with people from different groups and cultures?

Communicating  with others is often a difficult thing to do but as i reflect on this course i have learned a great deal of information how the effective way of communicating with groups and cultures. As an educator i have learned that listening and studying groups and cultures allows for others to understand there importance and values. As a teacher i sometimes use non-verbal communication  to communicate with my students to see if they understand my thoughts and interaction of communicating with them.

If yes, in what ways do you communicate differently?

Sign-language is something at my center we are trying to do effectively to teach and communicate with our children. As an educator for an Hispanic child who doesn't know any English, i am trying my best daily to communicate with her by learning Spanish and talking with my Spanish co-workers on ways in which i can effectively communicate with the child.
